Woman accused of stabbing 5-year-old son to death set free

A woman arrested on suspicion of stabbing her five-year-old son to death in Oxfordshire, England, has been set free on bail.

Little Tyler Warmington was found dead with multiple stab wounds on Monday at his home. Soon after, Detective Inspector Dave Hubbard of the Major Crime Unit confirmed to The Sun that the death was being investigated as a homicide.

“Following the discovery of a deceased child, we have launched a murder investigation.”

A police spokesperson told the newspaper that Tyler suffered multiple stab wounds to the chest. An autopsy revealed the stab wounds to be the cause of death.

Tyler’s mother, Emma Paget, was arrested on suspicion of murdering her little boy but released on bail soon after, according to The Sun.

It is not known if investigators have recovered a weapon from the crime scene.

The alleged murder shocked neighbors of the little boy, who reportedly lived with his mum. A grandfather may also live in the home.

The horrible crime has stunned neighbors in the normally peaceful British town.

“I, and everyone really, are absolutely shocked and horrified by everything that’s happened,” Candice McArthur told The Sun.

The mother is due back in court on April 12.
