KNTV reports the incident occurred at the Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas at around 11 am local time. One victim was taken to the hospital in unknown condition. Another was pronounced dead.
While the shooter isn’t at the hotel, Las Vegas police instructed guests to stay in their rooms. The assailant is said to be holed up on a bus near the Cosmopolitan.
I was told to go back to the room as the @Cosmopolitan_LV casino floor was cleared out 15 mins ago.

“This incident is being treated as a barricade at this time. There is no credible information that there is a second suspect,” Officer Larry Hadfield told CNN.
Hadfield said police are currently negotiating with the suspect and working to take them into custody.
“They (cops) were just saying, ‘Active shooter, get off the bridge. Active shooter, get off the bridge,’” a witness who was on the MGM skybridge at the time told the New York Daily News. “People I think were still standing around trying to look. Cops just started pushing us off the bridge.”
