‘Bad blood’: Woman accused of shooting love rival in Victoria’s Secret

An Ohio woman is facing felony charges after she supposedly shot her man’s lover in the chest in a Columbus PINK store.

Authorities said Anikqua Williams, 22, shot Daneshia Elmore, 23, Thursday afternoon. Columbus Police Deputy Chief Thomas Quinlan claimed the pair, who have “bad blood” because of a man, didn’t expect to run into each other, according to The Columbus Dispatch.

From there, a physical confrontation is said to have ensued, leading to the afternoon shooting. A witness told WSYX she saw younger and older women running as police swarmed the scene.

“It’s not anyone being randomly targeted,” Quinlan said during a news conference.

Responding officers reportedly found Elmore bleeding from the chest. The victim, several witnesses—and high-tech surveillance cameras—identified Williams as the attacker. As a result, she was taken into custody moments after police arrived.

Williams told the cops “I shot her” as they arrested her, an affidavit obtained by The Dispatch detailed.

Elmore was transported to a local hospital and is in stable condition.

“One person is looking at a lengthy jail sentence perhaps. Another, years of recovery. It’s not worth a dispute over whatever had them upset,” Quinlan said, according to WSYX.

In light of the incident, PINK released the following statement:

“The safety of our associates and customers is our number one priority. Our thoughts and prayers are with the injured individual. We continue to cooperate with the local authorities on their investigation.”

Williams is charged with felonious assault. WSYX reported the 22-year-old is held in the Franklin County Jail on $50,000 bond.
