Minnesota man murdered before marriage

A dad of three children, preparing for his upcoming wedding day, was fatally shot in a West Fargo, Minnesota, home on Thursday, reportedly by his own best friend.

Star Tribune reports that Jacob C. Glover, 28, of West Fargo, was allegedly shot and killed by his friend and boss, Neil James Johnson, 25,. Glover worked for Johnson at Don’s Car Wash in Fargo.

Police arrived to Johnson’s home off of 16th Street S. on Thursday, and found Glover lying on a close-by driveway after someone shot him several times. He was rushed to Sanford Medical Center, where he later died.

Officers located Johnson and a handgun inside the home. Although authorities described the situation as “acquaintances that had a dispute-argument,” Glover’s fiancée, Ashley Dowling, said that the pair were best friends. Witnesses inside the home when the shooting allegedly occurred were taken in for questioning.

Shortly after the shooting, Dowling, who has children with Glover, took to Facebook to air out her emotions.

“This is one of the hardest things i have ever had to deal with. I loved Jacob with my entire body heart and soul he was my rock. Jacob isn’t a bad man no matter what you hear he just got lost mixed into the wrong guys at work.”

Johnson was arrested and has a pending felony charge of first degree manslaughter. Other charges may follow. He remains behinds bars at the Clay County.
