Kansas grandmother found decapitated after grandson places frantic 911 call

A Kansas woman is behind bars after she allegedly decapitated her ex-boyfriend’s mother.

The Wichita Eagle reported that the body of Micki Davis, 63, was found in a Wichita garage on Sunday afternoon. Wichita police Lt. Todd Ojile claimed the victim’s 9-year-old grandson fled the residence and used his grandmother’s phone to call 911 about the assault.

“Upon entering the garage, the officers located the female victim’s decapitated body inside,” Lt. Ojile said, according to KSN-TV. “Detectives learned that the 63-year-old victim and her grandson went to the residence to obtain property belonging to her son.”

Responding officers, who called for backup, reportedly located Rachael Hilyard, 35, hiding in the home arrested her at the scene. The boy was unharmed.

Hilyard supposedly took to social media days before the unsettling attack. In Facebook posts obtained by the Daily Mail, the 35-year-old said she was fearful that “they” or “them” would cut her head off.

“I jus dont like it…please don’t hurt me anymore,” she allegedly wrote.

Sources also reportedly told The Daily Haze that Hilyard was in a car wreck a few years ago which left her with permanent brain damage. Friends of the suspect claimed that since then she “loved too much,” having violent exchanges with some of her exes.

Hilyard was charged with first-degree murder and is being held without bond at the Sedgwick County Jail. The Mail claimed she is also facing trespassing, assault, obstruction, and trespassing charges in connection with an unknown incident
