Tad Cummins is on his way to federal court Monday after spending 39 days on the run from law enforcement after allegedly kidnapping 15-year-old student Elizabeth Thomas.
Cummins was arrested on April 20th after authorities received a tip from a caretaker that Cummins was staying in a remote cabin under a fake name. He was arrested without incident and Thomas has been returned to her family.
Cummins faces federal and state charges of sexual contact and aggravated kidnapping, and if he is found guilty he faces at least ten years in prison.
His arraignment will take place at 2:00 p.m. PT.
