UPDATE
Deshawn Towns, one the men accused of abducting 15-year-old Cassidy Bottoms, has turned himself in. Police are still searching for the teen and another man accused of abducting her. Police said that Towns also turned over the silver Nissan Altima listed in the teen’s AMBER Alert. Towns is not considered a suspect at this point, but remains a “person of interest.”
Original Story
Authorities issued an AMBER Alert on Thursday for a Forsyth County, North Carolina, girl who police think may have been taken by two men she met online.
Cassidy Ann Bottoms, 15, was last seen on the 800 block of Old Oak Hollow Road in Winston-Salem. She may be in a silver 2010 Nissan Altima with North Carolina license plate number, BBP-4246. She is a white female, stands 5 feet 1 inches tall and weighs around 115 pounds. She has hazel eyes and black hair. She was last seen wearing leggings with pink, gray and blue palm tree prints; black shoes, and a black tube top. She has a scar on her lower left hip.
Police believe that Deshawn Dante Townes, 24, and Joffey Lee Cutler, 20, abducted the teen. Townes is described as a black male, standing 5 feet 11 inches tall, with black hair and brown eyes. He wears glasses and was last seen in a blue hat and blue shirt.
