FOUND: Special needs girl found in Georgia!

Update: Trinity Lopez has been found.

Original Story:

Authorities are looking for a 13-year-old in Douglasville, Georgia, who disappeared on Tuesday.

Trinity Lopez, 13, was last seen at her Douglas County home, close to the Dorsett Shoals area, on early Tuesday morning. She was wearing blue jeans and light-up shoes. Her family isn’t sure what color shirt she was wearing. She left on a lime green bicycle sometime between 2 a.m. and 7 a.m.

Officer Jesse Hambrick with the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office said that Trinity has special needs and the search for her is considered urgent. Crews are currently looking for throughout the area.

“She has diminished mental capacity, and is affected by lights, loud noises and commotion, which could cause her to shut down.”

Her family says it’s completely unlike Trinity to go missing. When they went to sleep on Monday night, Trinity was already in her room with her door shut, which she commonly does to block out noise. When the parents woke up at 7 a.m., Trinity’s bike was gone and her door was open.

Trinity has brown hair and brown eyes, stands 5’4-5’5 and weighs between 90-95 pounds.

Anyone one with information on Trinity’s whereabouts should call  the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office at 770-949-5656.
