A Florida man looking for a new puppy for his children was shot down in front of his kids in his own home while answering an ad on Facebook Live on Wednesday.
WCMH-TV reports that on Wednesday evening, Scott Bowman met a man who advertised a dog on Facebook. The man claimed he needed to find a new home for his dog and reportedly insisted on bringing the pup directly to Bowman’s Jacksonville residence.
When the suspect arrived, he was reportedly intoxicated, according to Bowman’s fiancée, Chelsea Bowman, who was in the home, along with the victim’s two young children. Bowman and the suspect began arguing, which turned into a physical altercation when the suspect refused to leave the home.
“The dude takes his shoes off and he stays. And he doesn’t leave. And it’s making everybody uncomfortable,” Chelsea Bowman said.
Chelsea Bowman indicated that the man grew angry when he was asked to leave and began beating Scott Bowman when he returned from the bathroom.
“He gets very, very volatile, very, very drunk. My husband (Scott) goes to use the bathroom, and he waits for him. He comes out, and he grabs him and he starts beating him. I mean grabs him, slams him down. Scott was not winning this fight at all.”
