The Fulton County District Attorney’s Office (DA) continues to investigate the untimely 2015 death of Bobbi Kristina Brown. Given the current allegations of abuse against Nick Gordon, officials with the DA’s office flew to Florida on Thursday to interview his most current former girlfriend.
People reports that Fulton County Deputy DA, Seleta Griffin, said that officials interviewed Laura Leal, Nick Gordon’s most recent ex-girlfriend, who accused him of beating her and locking her inside their shared home in Sanford last week. Griffin indicated that the interview with Leal was “was very fruitful,” and the information given will be used in the ongoing investigation of Bobbi Kristina’s death.

“It’s our goal to reach the truth in the matter. We believe the interview today has moved us closer to that goal.”
Griffin said Leal told them a lot, but the DA didn’t give specifics. Earlier this week, however, Leal spoke publicly about the abuse she reportedly suffered at the hands of Gordon, and it was eerily similar to the same stories friends and family of Bobbi Kristina reported.
Danyela D. Bradley, who lived with Nick Gordon and Bobbi Kristina in their Roswell, Georgia, townhome, said that Gordon continuously abused Bobbi Kristina, both mentally and physically. During a 2015 deposition, Bradley said that she was present in the townhome when Gordon “began kicking Bobbi Kristina in the side to the point that she was on the floor screaming and curled up in a fetal position.” Gordon also reportedly knocked Bobbi Kristina’s tooth out.

During the same incident, Gordon allegedly grabbed Bobbi Kristina by her hair and dragged her up a flight of stairs and locked her in the master bathroom. The following morning, she was found face-down and comatose in her bathtub. She never regained consciousness and died in a hospice facility six month later.
Similar to the Bobbi Kristina incident, Gordon allegedly pulled Leal’s hair and hit her so hard that she began seeing “colors and a bright flashing light.”
“I thought I was going to go blind and wondered whether I was ever going to be able to see again. I thought to myself, am I dying?'” Leal told Daily Mail.
Gordon hasn’t yet been criminally charged in the Bobbi Kristina case. He is, however, facing charges of domestic battery and false imprisonment for the most recent incident with Leal.
