A 23-year-old Oregon woman disappeared on Saturday in what police officers are calling “strange circumstances.” They’re now asking for the public’s assistance with any information that can lead to her.
The Oregonian reports that Demi Helenius left her home on Saturday night, headed to the Embassy Suites Hotel near the Portland airport, to attend the Landmark Worldwide Forum. According to Sgt. David Thompson of Washington County Sheriff’s Office, the event ended at around 10 p.m., but Helenius, who lives at home with her parents in Rock Creek, never came back.

Helenius’ parents told authorities that she’s generally prompt and good about checking in.
A man driving through a Dairy Queen in Creswell, Oregon, on Saturday night, handed the employee Helenius’ cellphone and drove off. Later, police found her car, a black 2013 Volkswagen Beetle, in Cottage Grove, around 10 miles from Creswell, Oregon. Further, Thompson said Helenius never attended the Landmark event.
