Police called over custody dispute between ‘Kate Plus 8’ couple, Jon and Kate Gosselin

Former reality show couple John and Kate Gosselin apparently got into a argument so heated on Tuesday that the police were called in to break the feud up.

TMZ reports that police arrived after the couple broke out into a loud argument over who would be the one to take one of their eight children to a dental appointment. The incident occurred on Tuesday afternoon in Wyomissing, Pennsylvania. Apparently, one of the parents took the child to the appointment and they argued over who would pick the kid up. Jon Gosselin ended winning the dispute.

“The call came in at 1:10 this afternoon for a verbal domestic argument between [Jon and Kate Gosselin] over the custody of one of their 13-year-old daughters,” a spokesperson for the Wyomissing PD said, according to ET Canada. “There was a fairly lengthy argument as far as both parents had conflicting versions of a child custody agreement. Basically both stated something different and we referred the matter over to our county district attorney.”

John and Kate Gosselin rose to fame on the TLC reality show, Jon and Kate Plus 8, which premiered on April 4, 2007. In 2009, the couple divorced and the show’s name was shortened to Kate Plus 8. The show lasted until 2011. In 2014, Kate Plus 8 returned for two additional seasons.

The couple previously made headlines over custody issues. In 2016, Jon Gosselin took Kate to court for custody of the children in a highly-publicized ordeal, after the mom was awarded full custody in 2009. Later, a judge granted Jon joint custody of the kids.
