Chris Blinston, a professional tattoo artist and star of the popular reality show, Ink Masters, was arrested on Friday in Florida after he allegedly strangled his teen daughter twice.
PEOPLE reports that Blinston was arrested at around 4 a.m. in Palm Beach on charges of “cruelty towards a child without great bodily harm and domestic battery by strangulation.” According to the arrest report, Blinston’s 13-year-old daughter accused him of wrapping his hands around her neck twice while in the midst of a custody dispute on Tuesday afternoon.

Further, the teen said Blinston called her a “mental skank” warned her of consequences if she told anyone. The girl initially told her therapist about the incident, which spurred an investigation. Police noted that the teen had “red marks around her neck,” according to TMZ. The police report also noted that Blinston allegedly cut off his daughter’s air for around six to seven seconds.
“You just choked me, after everything that’s gone on the past two days, you’re choking me!” the teen reportedly screamed at her dad.
Blinston apparently denied the accusations and said he’s looking forward to the whole story coming out. He also wants to reconcile with his daughter. He was released from jail on Friday on $6,000 bail.
