Alabama police are looking for a missing teenager, according to an alert issued last week.
As The Birmingham News reported, police say 14-year-old Irma Maria Diego-Gomez was last seen Wednesday morning as she left her Decatur home on her way to school.
When she did not return that afternoon, the school confirmed she never arrived at school, according to WHNT.
The Guatemalan girl did not live with her family in Decatur, authorities said. Her family reportedly resides in Guatemala.
A missing child alert issued Thursday by the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency sought help from the public in locating the girl.
