Teen girl and her boyfriend, 21, plot her father’s murder for days before fatally shooting him: Police

An Arizona 15-year-old and her 21-year-old boyfriend are accused of the premeditated murder of the teen’s father this week.

According to KNXV, authorities arrived at 59-year-old John Norton’s home in Tonopah in response to a report of a disturbance at the address Monday afternoon. Maricopa County sheriff’s deputies reportedly found his body at the scene, leading to the determination he had been fatally shot.

The 911 call that led to the discovery was reportedly made by the younger suspect, Norton’s teenage daughter.

Police say the girl told dispatchers that her ex-boyfriend shot her father earlier that day. Reports indicate she also claimed to have taken her younger sister with her when she left the scene of the crime.

As investigators continued to piece together a series of events through multiple witness interviews, however, they started to suspect Norton’s daughter and her boyfriend, Daniel Stroh, caused the victim’s death.

Both suspects reportedly admitted their part in the crime and have since been arrested.

They confessed to planning the crime out days in advance, police reports show.

Stroh faces charges of first-degree murder, conspiracy to commit first-degree murder and tampering with evidence.

The 15-year-old girl is being charged with one count of conspiracy to commit first-degree murder and one count of tampering with evidence.

Norton’s daughter was booked into juvenile detention while Stroh was taken into custody at Fourth Avenue Jail in Phoenix, according to KSAZ.
