Casey Anthony’s parents were quite vocal on their opinion of their notorious daughter in an interview last month with Crime Watch Daily‘s Chris Hansen. Casey, however, doesn’t care what her parents think, at least according to her friends, People reports.
As CrimeOnline previously reported, George Anthony, Casey Anthony’s father, said that he never talks to her anymore and never will, after she accused him of molesting her. The sexual assault angle was used by Casey’s defense team during her 2011 murder trial for the death of her 3-year-old daughter, Caylee. George claimed the accusations against him were absolute lies that burned the bridges between him and his only daughter.

“Stay away. Stay away from me. If she wants a relationship again with her mom, she’s got a lot of explaining to do, but I don’t want to hear it no more. I don’t want to see her,” George said.
Casey’s mother, Cindy Anthony, hasn’t completely abandoned her daughter, but she doesn’t have a good relationship with her either. She said Casey was mentally ill and needed help.
“Casey, be true to yourself, start being honest with yourself, and own everything. Quit putting blame on everybody else,” Cindy Anthony said, according to the Orlando Sentinel.
According to a few disclosed sources who claim they’re close to Casey, the comments by George and Cindy were shrugged off by their infamous daughter.
“Casey’s parents have always given these interviews,” one source said, according to People. “From day one, they have done this. And for what? Casey just rolled her eyes at the things they tell the media.”
Another source indicated that Casey reportedly never had any support from her parents, even as a child.
“For Casey, it was like, ‘whatever,’ ” the source says. “They have always been critical of her, even from the time she was a girl. So why would anything change now? She feels like they’ve never truly been supportive of her.”
“Casey doesn’t wish them any ill will or anything. They’re her parents, she really does love them. But she doesn’t spend her time obsessing about what George and Cindy Anthony say about her — especially publicly. She has moved on.”
The CWD interview with George and Cindy came about after they got wind their daughter was possibly thinking of doing a reality show or selling her story. The Anthony parents are determined to ensure that Casey doesn’t profit off of the death of her little girl.
