Rose McGowan, the actress at the forefront of Hollywood’s ongoing sexual harassment scandal, reportedly turned herself in Tuesday on an outstanding drug possession warrant.
According to the Hollywood Reporter, the charges are connected to a January 20 incident on a United Airlines flight arriving at Washington Dulles International Airport where McGowan allegedly left behind personal items that later tested positive for narcotics.

Though The Hollywood Reporter didn’t disclose which substance was involved, TMZ reported that authorities recovered a few small bags of cocaine in a wallet that the actress left behind.
Police claimed they obtained the warrant on February 1 and made multiple attempts to contact McGowan so she could appear in a Virginia court.
McGowan took to Twitter in late October and accused authorities of trying to “silence” her as she led the crusade against sexual harassment in Hollywood. As CrimeOnline previously reported, the 44-year-old has accused embattled producer Harvey Weinstein of raping her decades earlier.
“I have been silenced for 20 years. I have been slut-shamed. I have been harassed. I have been maligned and you know what? I’m just like you. What happened to me behind the scenes happens to all of us in society and it cannot stand and it will not stand,” the Jawbreaker actress said last month during the Women’s Convention in Detroit.
A spokesperson for Weinstein denied the allegations in a statement issued to People.
“Any allegations of non-consensual sex are unequivocally denied by Mr. Weinstein. Mr. Weinstein has further confirmed that there were never any acts of retaliation against any women for refusing his advances,” it read.
McGowan was released from custody after posting $5,000 bond. TMZ reported that she faces up to a year behind bars if convicted.
