Little boy calls police to stop the Grinch from stealing Christmas

Police in Mississippi were dispatched to a house Saturday night after a 5-year-old boy called 911 on the Grinch.

The little boy, TyLon Pittman, was watching videos online when he came across some of the Grinch. Worried that the holiday character was going to steal his Christmas, he called 911 to report him.

Police Officer Lauren Develle responded to the call at the Bryam, Mississippi, home. When she arrived, she found 5-year-old TyLon who said he didn’t want the Grinch to steal Christmas.

The boy’s mom, Teresa Pittman, said she didn’t believe him when he said he had phoned police until Develle showed up at the door.

TyLon’s brother, who is home for the holidays from the Air Force, made a post on Facebook about the hilarious incident.

“I can NOT make this up!!! My 5 year old brother called the police and said that the Grinch is stealing people Christmas and he don’t want him to steal his so they really came to our house.”

Develle assured TyLon that the Grinch was not coming to take his presents or Christmas tree, but he responded that no one is safe from the Grinch.

“He steals everybody’s Christmas.”

When asked what he would do if the Grinch did happen to show up to steal Christmas, TyLon said that he would take him down and hold him until police arrived.

“I’m going to say put your hands behind your back and get down on the ground, then when he gets on the ground, I’m gonna say, ‘Why are you stealing Christmas?'”

TyLon said that he wants to be a police officer when he grows up, and it seems he’s off to a great start.
