A New York City socialite and daughter of a former NFL Washington Redskins owner was arrested on Wednesday, after she reportedly attacked a man on New Year’s Eve, leaving him with a bloodied head.
People reports that Jacqueline Kent Cooke, 29, was arrested in NYC after she reportedly made an anti-semitic remark to an elderly woman while at the Caravaggio restaurant in Upper East Side of Manhattan. The woman’s son, 52-year-old Matthew Haberkorn, of San Francisco, defended his mother, which resulted in a physical confrontation between him and Cooke.
According to the police report, Cooke smashed her Lulu Guinness Chloe Mirrored Perspex Box Clutch onto Haberkorn’s head, causing a laceration and bleeding. Haberkorn said the ordeal began after Cook reportedly referred to his mother as a “Jew” while trying to rush the elderly woman to hurry up at the coat check area.

“Hurry up, Jew! Hurry up, Jew, I got places to be!” Cooke reportedly said to Haberkorn’s 77-year-old mother.
“We all got places to be,” Haberkorn’s wife, Linda Thomas, said back . “You know what? I take total offense at that. You’re small-minded.”
Haberkorn, who was there with his wife and his daughters, said Cooke’s boyfriend, joined in.
“Happy bat mitzvah, girls,” Cooke’s boyfriend allegedly said to Haberkorn’s daughters.
Haberkorn, according to New York Daily News, followed Cooke outside, curious to know why she was so rude to his family. That’s when the socialite attacked him with her purse, according to Haberkorn.
“I walked up to her and asked her why she said that. She took her purse, which was a mirrored glass purse, and smashed me with it.”
