Missing Texas journalist Courtney Roland has been found

The Texas sports reporter who went missing over the weekend had been found alive near a Houston-area mall.

Houston Police tweeted on Monday morning that Courtney Roland, 29, had been found and appears to be unharmed. She was taken to a hospital for a medical evaluation.

Earlier Monday, Houston Police had tweeted that Roland’s vehicle had been found in a parking lot, and her purse was located at a nearby business.

It is not yet known exactly where Roland was when she was found or if she was alone. As CrimeOnline previously reported, Roland texted her roommate on Saturday and said she had seen a man acting strangely at Wal-mart, and that the same man appeared to have followed her home. She said he drove a blue truck and pulled up behind her in her driveway, but drove off after she got out of her car.

Roland was supposed to meet her roommate later that night but didn’t show. On Sunday, Courtney’s mother reportedly received a strange text from her daughter’s phone. It read:

“hello the owner of this phone Courtney. I am buying an iPad.”

Shortly before announcing she had been found, Houston Police updated the previous timeline to report that Roland had been seen alone in a mall on Sunday.

This is a developing story. CrimeOnline will provide an update when more information is available.
