Three men have been arrested and charged with the killing of Bao and Jenny Lam, a 61-year-old couple found shot to death in their upscale Spring, Texas, home on January 14.
The grisly deaths appear to have been the result of a botched robbery attempt in the Lam’s gated community. The Lams, who were both bound and reportedly shot “execution-style,” are believed to have arrived home shortly after a break-in, and were ambushed by the suspects.
“Everything was disturbed. Furniture was overturned, drawers were opened. It will take some time to process the scene,” Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez told reporters about the discovery earlier this week, according to KTRK.

The Houston Chronicle reports that Aakiel Kendrick, 21, Khari Kendrick, 23, and Erick Peralta, 20, have all been charged with murder, and that one of the suspects has confessed.
All three suspects allegedly went back to the Lam’s home in a gated community more than once after the killings, in order to rob more valuables. They allegedly used the couple’s stolen Porsche to drive back and forth.
One of the couple’s children reportedly found their bodies, days after they are believed to have died.
“Through good, old-fashioned police work and our public’s help, we have accomplished our goals of holding accountable those responsible for these heinous crimes, bringing some closure to the Lam family and making sure that these individuals don’t harm anymore human beings in our county,” Sheriff Ed Gonzalez told reporters at a news conference announcing the arrests.
“The ambush nature of the attack and the ruthlessness tells us that it wouldn’t be surprising that they’ve committed similar incidents,” he added.
All three suspects are currently in custody at the Harris County Jail.
