Man allegedly kidnaps ex-girlfriend from hotel, beats and stabs her before leaving her for dead on side of road [VIDEO]

A Georgia man is accused of kidnapping, beating, and stabbing his ex-girlfriend before leaving her naked on the side of a road.

Per WGCL, Derwin Johnson, 23, was seen kidnapping his young daughter’s mother from the Budget Inn in DeKalb County on Wednesday. Footage obtained by the station shows the woman, wearing a bathrobe, exiting the hotel room to take out some trash. Johnson allegedly then approaches the woman, who tries to shut the door on him before he grabs her and drags her into his car.

Police said the woman’s 1-year-old daughter was in the hotel room during the attack. An hour after the alleged attack, Carla Harris told WSB-TV that she was driving near Jack Neely and Fairview Road in Newton County when she spotted the naked woman stumbling out of the woods.

WGCL noted that the mother was found 26 miles from where she was abducted.

“She did not know where she was at, she had no clue where she was when she came out of woods, no clothes on,” Harris said.

“She said he knocked her teeth out, he stabbed in her head, she had stab wounds and bite marks all over her.”

The victim’s mother, Rasana Dubose, told the news station that her daughter’s been released from the hospital but, due to the severity of her injuries, she’s unable to return to work.

“She opened the door and she saw him. She tried to close the door, and he pushed his way in the room,” Dubose said.

“He put a knife to her neck and told her if she moved he was going to end her life right there.”

Sheriff’s spokesman Jeff Alexander told the Atlanta Journal-Constitution that Johnson was arrested Friday at his father’s home in Newton County. He is charged with aggravated assault and aggravated battery.
