Missing girl, 5, found alive under abandoned home, left there by teen who sexually assaulted her: Police

A missing Texas girl was found alive on Tuesday, under an abandoned trailer home after police say teen boy sexually assaulted her.

FOX12 reports that Cooke County Sheriff’s deputies charged a 14-year-old teen boy in connection with the assault. He was detained placed in the Juvenile Detention Center in Denison.

According to investigators, the teen suspect, who lived in the same home as the girl, took her from the residence at night, then sexually assaulted her in an abandoned residence off of the 100 block of Chisholm Trail in Valley View. Then teen then reportedly left the little girl underneath another abandoned home and fled. Detectives indicated that the teen and the 5-year-old are not related. Several other children also lived in the home.

“During the investigation, it was determined another juvenile who resided at the same residence as the missing juvenile, removed the missing juvenile from the residence during the night and sexually assaulted her in an abandoned residence nearby,” Cooke County Sheriff Terry Gilbert said. “Afterwards, the missing juvenile was left underneath another abandoned residence until she was located.”

The other kids were taken from the home and placed into the care of custody of Child and Protective Services. The victim was first taken to a local hospital, then taken into the custody of CPS as well.

“She would come up and play with the dogs and the dogs would play with her. She gets along real good with the animals,” said neighbor, Jackie Brown, according to CBS DFW.

“It’s sickening, very sickening. Makes me not want to think about it,” Brown continued, referring to the alleged sexual assault. “It’s unbelievable. We’ve been here 18 years. Nothing like this has ever happened around here and it just shocks us.”

Authorities indicated they found the girl after they heard whimpering noises coming from underneath the abandoned trailer home.
