Authorities are investigating an apparent shooting outside of the National Security Agency (NSA) headquarters in Fort Meade, Maryland, just north of Washington D.C.
NBC News reports that the investigation appears to be focusing on a black SUV at the headquarters, which was reportedly seen with bullet holes through the windshield and crashed into a gate on the property.
The NBC News report said that a man in handcuffs could be seen sitting on the ground not far from the SUV. Authorities have not released any further details, but the NSA reportedly told NBC News that the situation was under control.
The Anne Arundel Police first reported the news of the apparent shooting on Twitter, but are not the investigating agency.
