The St. Mary’s County Sheriff Department announced in a press conference Tuesday morning that the suspected shooter at Great Mills High School in Maryland.
According to a local reporter who attended the news conference, the sheriff department confirmed that the suspect was shot by a School Resource Officer.
The SRO was not among those injured in the shooting. A female victim remains in critical condition, and a male victim is hospitalized.
The shooter was a student at Great Mills High School and reportedly shot a male and a female student before he was engaged by the SRO.

The suspect has not yet been identified.
The St. Mary’s County Sheriff Department will hold another news conference Tuesday at 1 p.m., when they will likely identify the shooter and may be able to name the victims.
