An Arizona mother has been arrested after her two young children were found dead strapped to their car seats in her vehicle.
The New York Daily News reports that police in Superior, Arizona, found the bodies of a 2-year-old boy and a 10-month-old girl strapped into car seats in a driveway of a residence.
The children’s mother, 20-year-old Brittany Velasquez, was arrested and charged with two counts of murder after “evidence on the scene indicated foul-play,” the sheriff reportedly said in a memo.
Authorities have not released the children’s cause of death, or identified the victims.

Relatives told Fox 10 that they had contacted the Department of Child Services multiple times because of concerns that Velasquez was mentally unstable and that her children were in danger.
