A YouTube employee apparently tweeted that an active shooter was inside the company’s California headquarters, but authorities are calling it a “possible” shooting incident at this time.
CBS reports that the incident is currently taking place at the YouTube headquarters at 901 Cherry Ave. in San Bruno. One of the employees, Vadim Lavrusik, tweeted that he heard shots while at his desk shortly before becoming barricaded inside a room with other employees. He later tweeted that he made it to safety.
According to ABC’s live feed, reports indicate the shooter is an adult white female, but local law enforcement has yet to definitely confirm the identity of the suspect.
