Jaime King’s young son hit with shattered glass when man jumps on her Mercedes, smashing window

Jaime King’s four-year-old son was struck with shattered glass while in the back seat of his mother’s Mercedes Benz when a man jumped on the back of the car and smashed the windows.

According to E! News, James Knight Newman, the actress’s son, was sitting in the parked car in Beverly Hills when the suspected vandal jumped on the vehicle, shattering glass windows. The boy was reportedly struck with glass. According to some unconfirmed reports, the suspect used a skateboard to smash the windows.

Jaime King was reportedly outside of the car at the time of the alleged attack, but a female friend in the vehicle with her son jumped out and confronted the attacker, who allegedly hit her with a can. King quickly rushed to the scene, which was captured by paparazzi.

E! News reports that police have identified the suspect as Paul Francis Floyd, 46. Floyd has been charged with felony child endangerment, misdemeanor battery and felony vandalism.

The Beverly Hills Police Department released a statement to E! News, which reads in part:

“On April 4, 2018, at approximately 4:43 PM, the Beverly Hills Police Department received several calls of a vehicle vandalism in the 400-block of N. Bedford Drive. Police arrived within minutes and promptly detained the suspect.”

There is no further information at this time about the boy’s injuries. Floyd is reportedly being held on $100,000 bail.
