A Texas mother is accused of telling their three young children that they’re “going to see Jesus” before setting their car on fire.
According to KHOU, the woman is accused of trying to kill her three daughters—ages 9, 11, and 13—Sunday night at a Houston car wash. Identified by The Dallas Morning News as Ana Segovia, 31, the mother allegedly revved the engine until the car they were in caught fire.
Twenty people were reportedly at the car wash when Saturday’s incident took place. Onlookers claimed Segovia left her two oldest children in the blazing vehicle and dragged her 9-year-old daughter to a nearby bayou. Witnesses said the mother fell while attempting to flee, KHOU reported.
