‘I was drugged the f**k out:’ Kanye West says he became addicted to opioids after getting liposuction [VIDEO]

In a bizarre sit-down with TMZ, rapper and entrepreneur Kanye West revealed that his addiction to opioids began after undergoing liposuction.

West, 40, made the revelation during Tuesday’s episode of TMZ Live. West told TMZ founder Harvey Levin and executive producer Charles Latibeaudiere that doctors had prescribed him opioids after he got liposuction. He said he continued to take them during the ill-fated Saint Pablo tour.

Page Six noted that the tour was cut short in November 2016, after West went into an unintelligible onstage tirade at a California show.

“Two days before I was in the hospital I was on opioids,” he said, calling for the entire TMZ newsroom’s attention. “I was addicted to opioids. I had plastic surgery because I was trying to look good for y’all. I got liposuction because I didn’t want y’all to call me fat like y’all called Rob [Kardashian] at the wedding and made him fly home before me and Kim got married.”

West went on to explain how he went from two pills a day to seven. He claimed that being “drugged the f**k out” was the cause of his unorthodox tweets and behavior.

“I’m not drugged out … these pills that they want me to take three of a day, I take one a week maybe, two a week. Y’all had me scared of myself, of my vision, so I took some pills so I wouldn’t go the hospital and prove everyone right,” he said.

“We are drugged out. We are following other people’s opinions. We are controlled by the media and today it all changes.”

The Through the Wire rapper went on to reiterate—and defend—his admiration for President Donald Trump, calling him “my boy.”

He opined, “When you hear about slavery for 400 years. For 400 years! That sounds like a choice.”
