Metro Nashville Police Department announced that one person was shot at Opry Mills Mall Thursday afternoon and that they have a suspect in custody. Officers are searching the premises “as a precaution,” they said.

Nashville police reportedly responded to Opry Mills Mall Thursday afternoon amid reports of shots fired.
The Tennesseean reported that a call about the shooting came in at around 2:30 p.m. Since then, police have confirmed to WSMV that four people have been shot. Reports from WZTV indicated that at least one person was shot inside Forever 21; emergency crews are also responding to an Old Navy inside the mall.

It’s not immediately known whether police are dealing with an active shooter situation. However, WZTV wrote that police are currently searching for a suspect.
