A Washington teen is still unaccounted for days after U.S. Marshals arrested a sex offender who was allegedly traveling with the missing teen.
As CrimeOnline previously reported, Bonney Lake Police Department said Lileana “Lily” Christopherson, 15, left her parents’ Bonney Lake home on May 9 and took a bus to Federal Way. She was reportedly last seen at an apartment on 327th Lane in the same city; her family recently told KCPQ that the teen was planning to meet with someone she met on social media.
Since then, local police identified registered sex offender Christopher R. Fitzpatrick, 39, as a suspect in their ongoing missing persons investigation.Fitzpatrick was reportedly known to have frequented the same areas as Christopherson.
KING-TV reported that a tip led police to a Lakewood home Saturday, where they arrested Fitzpatrick for violating his probation and failing to register as a sex offender. The News Tribune wrote that he was also arrested on suspicion of promoting commercial prostitution, third-degree child rape, and first-degree kidnapping with sexual motivation.
Fitzpatrick pleaded guilty in 2003 to threatening his wife and repeatedly raping her. Police who arrested Fitzpatrick at a Fife hotel found him having sex with a 16-year-old girl who was tied to the bed, records obtained by The News Tribune revealed.
On Tuesday, the Bonney Lake Patch reported that Bonney Lake police confirmed that Christopherson was seen in the Tacoma-Fife area over the weekend with a woman. Additional information about the woman, or her relationship to the 15-year-old, isn’t available at this time.
In a statement, police said they remain concerned for the teen’s welfare and are still uncertain whether she’s traveling on her own free will.
Police said Christopherson is 5’2″, 120 lbs, and has long brown hair, hazel eyes, and a small scar near her left eye. She was reportedly last seen wearing a black midriff shirt with tan capri pants.
This is an ongoing investigation. Anyone with information regarding Lileana Christopherson’s whereabouts is urged to call 911 and can reference case number 1812901486.
