Vehicle of interest found, driver arrested after shooting outside dental office injures 2 adults, 2 kids

Authorities in Colorado arrested the driver of a vehicle wanted in connection to a multiple shooting Thursday afternoon.

According to KCNC, two adults and two children were shot outside of a dentist’s office in Westminster shortly after 3 p.m.

The surrounding office complex parking lot was closed by police as investigators began collecting evidence. Reports indicate no one inside the dentist’s office was injured in the shooting.

Conditions of the four individuals reportedly shot were not immediately available.

A person of interest reportedly fled the scene, leading local law enforcement to initiate a manhunt for anyone in a vehicle matching a description provided by witnesses.

“Shooting occurred at 3:05 in parking lot of business at 80/Sheridan,” a Westminster Police Department tweet confirmed. “Ofc discovered 4 GSW vics when they arrived on scene. All victims transported to area hospitals. No update on their conditions.”

An update indicated the vehicle of interest was located in Castle Rock and its driver was arrested by local police.

The sheriff’s office reiterated that it would be the primary source of information and further updates, urging individuals to rely only on confirmed reports.

“We are the only source of official information,” the agency tweeted. “We will release information on person of interest if this person turns into suspect.”

It remained unclear from available reports what, if anything, precipitated the act of violence.
