A few days after release from a psychiatric evaluation, actress Heather Locklear was arrested on Sunday, making the second time this year she’s been arrested and charged with violence against a police officer.
Page Six reports that California authorities arrested 56-year-old Locklear at around 11:30 p.m. Sunday night and charged her with battery on a police officer and emergency personnel. According to the Ventura County Sheriff’s Office, a family member contacted authorities after the actress allegedly became irritable and irrational after drinking alcohol to the point of intoxication.
When officers arrived, Locklear reportedly punched a deputy when he tried to separate her from her family, then kicked an EMT worker while authorities attempted to place her on a gurney.

As CrimeOnline previously reported, Locklear was ordered to undergo a psychiatric evaluation on June 17 after she allegedly assaulted her parents and threatened to kill herself. On June 21, she was released after a three-day psychiatric hold.
Listen, we all have our struggles and our issues. There’s no one that can say we don’t,” actor Jack Wagner, Locklear’s ex, told Extra shortly after her psychiatric hold. ““Heather’s in my prayers. I love her and her family, and I just hope that she can really dig in and turn her life around. I love her to death.”
Locklear was arrested earlier this year in February after she reportedly allegedly attacked her boyfriend, then attacked California deputies who responded to a 911 call. The actress sought treatment shortly after her arrest.
The story is still developing. Check back with CrimeOnline as additional details become available.
