Northern California authorities arrested “Mighty Ducks” co-star Shaun Weiss Saturday after he allegedly performed a bizarre stunt while high on drugs, as confirmed to People.
Authorities say Weiss, 39, was found with three other people “behaving erratically with flashlights” outside of a closed business complex, with Weiss shining a light directly into his own face. The strange behavior led officials to believe the man was under the influence of alcohol or drugs, Oroville Lt. Chris Nicodemus told People.
According to a statement by the Oroville Public Safety Department, Weiss was subsequently “arrested for being under the influence of drugs” at about 12:47 a.m. in Oroville, which is located approximately 60 miles south of Sacramento.

“He was transported and booked into the Butte County Jail,” the statement continued. “He was arrested for intoxication only and no further criminal proceedings are desired at this time.”
Nicodemus said the alleged drug user was held behind bars for a few hours until sobering up, before being released without charges. The lieutenant said the protocol is a “routine” occurrence when it comes to California public intoxication arrests.
This is not the actor’s first run-in with the law involving drugs. According to E! News, Weiss was charged in 2017 with misdemeanor meth possession in California, and was sentenced to 90 days in jail.
Known best for his role in the 90s as playing goalie Greg Goldberg in “The Mighty Ducks,” Weiss’ most recent act was when he appeared in the 2016 comedy short, “Netflix & Chill.”
