Police search bodies of water for AMBER Alert boy after mom says a stranger knocked her out dumped her in park

Florida authorities searched bodies of water on Monday, in search of a little boy who disappeared from the the Largo area on Saturday night.

ABC News reports that Major Stephen Slaughter of the Largo Police Department confirmed authorities were searching bodies of water for 2-year-old Jordan Belliveau. The little boy’s mother, Charisse Stinson, 21, told police that she was walking with her son off of Lake Avenue and East Bay Drive at around 9:30 p.m. on Saturday night, when an unknown man approached them and asked if they needed a ride. Stinson claimed she accepted the ride but the stranger punched her out, then fled.

“Unfortunately, it’s Florida,” Slaughter said. “We have a lot of ponds, we have a lot of streams, we have a lot of different areas of water and a small toddler can find his way in there pretty easily, so we want to make sure we look at those.”

Stinson said she woke up on Sunday morning in the woods at Largo Central Park and couldn’t find her son. The man, who she said drove a white Toyota Camry with a white grill and dark tinted windows, had disappeared. She claimed the man only identified himself as “Antwan.”

“Anybody that may know the whereabouts of Jordan, we urge you to please just take him to a safe place like a local fire station or a library,” Slaughter said. “No questions asked — just drop Jordan off. We need Jordan back.”

Along with numerous law enforcement agencies, dive teams and dogs are assisting in the search. According to Slaughter, authorities also searched the mother’s apartment, where they found “bloody items.” Investigators haven’t answered whether the items found played a part in the boy’s disappearance.

Jordan’s father was arrested in July after a domestic violence incident with the boy’s mother, but authorities said he is fully cooperating with the investigation.

Jordan is described as a black male who stands 2-feet-6-inches tall and weighs around 30 pounds. He has brown hair and brown eyes, and was last seen wearing a blue shirt with the number “72” on the front. He also had on black and white Nike shoes and blue gym shorts. He has a birthmark on the right side of his stomach and a cut under his chin that was partially healed when he vanished.

Based on the description the mother gave of the reported, he is around 25 to 26 years old with brown hair and brown eyes. He had dreadlocks and gold teeth, and wore a white tank top and black basketball shorts with the “AND1” logo on the front, police stated.

Investigators are asking residents who live around the Lake Avenue area in Largo to check their surveillance cameras for anything that could be beneficial in assisting police with finding Jordan.

Police scheduled a news conference for 4 p.m. on Tuesday to provide updates in the case. Check back with CrimeOnline as additional details become available.
