Wisconsin police are searching for a man accused of abducting a toddler in September from a Milwaukee residence, prompting an AMBER Alert.
ABC12 reports that although the 3-year-old girl taken from her grandparents’ home off of 62nd and Stark last month has been found safe, the man accused of abducting her is still on the loose. Gerald Brown is accused of entering the family’s home at around 2:15 a.m. on September 3, where he took the little girl at gunpoint. He left the house in a red minivan with another male.
MPD is seeking the community’s assistance in locating Gerald A. BROWN birthdate 04-19-1995. Several hours later, authorities located the child after residents near 19th Street spotted her alone and crying, and contacted police.
“It’s traumatizing for us all,” the child’s father, Mario Dickens told FOX16 last month. “To have somebody missing, it was a devastating blow……I want the perpetrators brought to justice. I know we did nothing to warrant anything of this nature and it’s sad that there are people that will take a 3-year-old girl.”
Brown is described as a black male who stands 6-feet-tall with brown eyes black shoulder length hair that he wore in dread locks at the time of the child’s disappearance. He weighs around 175 pounds.
Anyone with any information is urged to contact the Milwaukee Police Department at 414-935-7360.
