Police in Kansas confirmed that remains discovered in Odgen last week belong to a mother of two who’s been missing since May.
The Riley County Police Department said Ashley Meiss’ body was located Saturday at 3 p.m. on the 300 block of North Park Road. The woman’s father told WIBW that she was found in a wooded area behind her apartment complex.
An autopsy didn’t uncover any signs of foul play but a cause and manner of death are undetermined at this point in time, according to The Topeka Capital-Journal.

Police told WIBW that Meiss was also spotted jogging the day of her disappearance. They said they’ll be sending a copy of their investigation to the county attorney but they don’t expect to provide additional updates to the public.
