BREAKING: Another suspicious package mailed to CNN

A suspicious package addressed to the CNN headquarters in Atlanta has been intercepted, CNN reports.

CNN announced the news Monday morning via the Twitter account for CNN Communications, with a memo from CNN President Jeff Zucker:

The package was intercepted at an off-site facility, and did not arrive at the CNN Center in Atlanta. As Zucker’s memo notes, all mail to CNN is being carefully screened off-site after a package containing a potential explosives was found at the CNN offices in New York City last week.

On Friday, Cesar Sayoc was arrested in south Florida after a string of packages containing potential explosives were sent to CNN and high-profile Democrats. It is not known if the package intercepted on Monday shares the same features as the 13 packages received or intercepted last week. There have been no reported injuries in connection with the suspicious packages.

CrimeOnline will provide further updates as more information becomes available.
