A police manhunt Saturday led to the arrest of a suspect after one woman was fatally shot and another woman kidnapped in Orlando, Florida.

According to WFTV, 23-year-old Ruddel Pierre is accused of shooting Tamalari Arnold during an incident inside a home on Harwich Street at about 8 a.m. on Saturday.

The 40-year-old victim was pronounced dead shortly after arriving at an area hospital in critical condition, as reported by WESH.

Pierre is also accused of apprehending Verlande Decius at gunpoint and forcing her to enter a 2018 Kia Optima. She was later found safe, authorities say.

Orlando police posted a social media update describing the suspect and vehicle, which was listed as maroon in color with the license plate number JPYN09.
