Police are responding to reports of an active shooter at Walter Reed Military Medical Center in Washington, D.C., according to NBC News.
According to the report, police have not yet confirmed there is an active shooter at the scene. Maryland Congressman Dutch Ruppersberger said in a tweet that he was at the hospital and confined to a conference room amid reports of a shooting.
I am currently at Walter Reed Medical in Bethesda where we've been told there is an active shooter. I am currently safe in a conference room w/ approx 40 others.
