A source close to Casey Anthony reportedly says the 32-year-old has no intentions of reaching out to her father, George Anthony, who remains hospitalized after a fiery Saturday car crash that left him with “incapacitating” injuries.
“She didn’t talk to him for years before the accident,” the unnamed source told PEOPLE. “Why would she talk to him now? It wouldn’t make any sense. She has no intention to talk to him.”
As CrimeOnline previously reported, according to a 911 call released by the Florida Highway Patrol and obtained by ABC9, Anthony apparently flipped his vehicle several times while driving down Interstate 4, near the near the State Road 44 and U.S. Highway 92 exits in Daytona Beach. Several witnesses rushed to call for help after the crash. One witness described the accident after watching Anthony’s green 1999 Toyota 4-Runner slide across several lanes and crash.

“A car ran off the road and slipped,” a female 911 caller said. “It was just him, one vehicle…..It went from the right side, into the grass and then it literally came across the three lanes back into the median, over to the grass at it flipped. So it’s off the highway but in the median part.”
A Florida Highway Patrol report indicated that Anthony didn’t appear to be distracted, wasn’t drunk, and did not have obstructed vision. He was also wearing a shoulder and lap seatbelt when the incident occurred.
The report also indicated that Anthony, who was briefly able to communicate, told authorities he had a “medical issue” but had no recollection of the crash occurring. It’s still unclear what the medical problem is, but according to DailyMail (DM), Anthony may have had a seizure while driving. He was flown to Halifax Medical Center with “incapacitating” injuries, according to a responding trooper.
DM obtained additional 911 calls from the Florida Highway State Patrol, in which a caller claimed Anthony was “covered in blood,” while another caller allegedly said it “was bad.”
Anthony’s family members have not yet commented on the incident and the hospital has not provided any updates.
Anthony had a strained relationship with his daughter after her 2011 trial, when she was acquitted for the murder of her own daughter, 2-year-old Caylee Anthony. In 2017, George Anthony said his relationship with Casey Anthony had turned non-existent, and he warned her to stay away from him.
“Stay away. Stay away from me. If she wants a relationship again with her mom, she’s got a lot of explaining to do, but I don’t want to hear it no more. I don’t want to see her.”
The story is still developing. Check back with CrimeOnline as additional details become available.
