Police were called to a middle school in Richmond, Indiana, after an “active shooter” situation early morning Thursday.
FOX59 reports that the incident happened at around 8 a.m. at Dennis Intermediate School. Authorities stated the school is now secure and a teen suspect is dead. No other students or staff members were injured.

The students are in the process of being transported to Richmond High School, where parents can pick them up in the Civic Hall building.
Once all Dennis students are accounted for, we will begin the reunification process. Dennis students will be transported to Richmond High School. Parents will be reunified with their Dennis student at Civic Hall.
