Casey Anthony’s dad returns home in halo brace weeks after near-fatal car wreck

The father of infamous “Tot Mom” Casey Anthony, George Anthony, reportedly returned to his Florida home a month after suffering serious spinal injuries in a car accident.

The Daily Mail reported that George, 67, wearing a hale brace, was spotted returning to his Orlando home for the first time since the November 24 wreck that nearly claimed his life. He was reportedly being accompanied by a medical assistant and using a walker.

WFTV reported that George was driving westbound on I-4 in Daytona Beach when he flipped his wife Cindy’s 1999 Toyota 4-Runner. Florida Highway Patrol said the 67-year-old suffered “incapacitating” injuries and a report indicated he wasn’t intoxicated or distracted before the single-car accident. Footage from the scene showed him being airlifted to the hospital.

His wife reportedly went on to tweet, “The left rear axle broke on ours nearly killing and leaving my husband seriously injured. I bought the vehicle brand new, low miles and well maintained. No recalls on this type of issue.”

The Mail reported that Casey, 32, didn’t visit his father and instead spent her holiday in West Palm Beach. Photos snapped by the tabloid showed her wearing an elf’s costume while leaving her home. In an A&E special that aired in May, George indicated that he isn’t on speaking terms with his infamous daughter.
