Texas police are searching for a man who shot a little girl dead on Sunday morning while with her mother and sisters at a Houston Walmart. A manhunt is in progress for the suspect.
ABC reports that the incident happened at around 7 a.m. at the Houston Walmart off of the 15400 block of Wallisville, as a mother was pulling out of the store parking lot with her children. According to authorities, the suspect, described as a white male in his 40s with a beard, pulled up next to a car with five females inside, including four minor girls and their mother, began shooting.
The children’s mother sustained injuries but is expected to survive. The little girl, however, was pronounced dead shortly after the incident. A 6-year-old was also wounded during the attack, but expected to survive.

The suspect drove away in a red truck with no license plate. It’s still unclear who the suspect is or if he knew the victims. Police said he was wearing a red hoodie during the attack.
“We’re going to use all resources available to bring this killer to justice,” Major Jesse Razo said while at the scene. “And I urge you, whoever did this, you know who you are. Please turn yourself in now – because we will be looking for you, we will locate you, we will find you.”
