South Dakota authorities released a new photo of Serenity Dennard, a little girl who allegedly ran away from a children’s home earlier this month.
KOTA TV reports that 9-year-old Serenity Dennard disappeared on February 3 from the Black Hills Children’s Home in Rapid City. Despite massive search efforts, she remains missing and authorities think she’s likely deceased, given the severe weather conditions in early February.
Pennington County Sheriff’s Office investigators and Rapid City Police Department are still searching for the girl, hoping for a miracle, but are now treating the search effort as a recovery mission.
Serenity was last seen at around 11 a.m. off of South Rockerville Road, close to the children’s home. When she disappeared, she didn’t have a coat with her. She was last seen wearing blue jeans, a long sleeved grey shirt with flower prints on it, and black boots.
We are circulating a new picture + flyer of Serenity Dennard. This picture was taken on 2/2/19, the day before she left the Black Hills Children’s Home in Rockerville.
