News reports indicate Freeda Foreman, the daughter of famed boxer George Foreman and a retired fighter herself, is dead at the age of 42.
According to an exclusive TMZ report, police sources indicate a family member visited her home in Houston, Texas, and found her body inside.
As of the latest reports available, a cause or manner of death had not been revealed. Sources reportedly indicated that a medical examination will provide additional details.
Reports show law enforcement was not initially treating the death as a result of foul play.
Though Foreman became a professional boxer and won her first five bouts, she retired after losing fight number six of her career in 2001. Some reports suggest her famous father paid her to hang up her gloves.
In addition to her parents, Freeda Foreman is survived by two daughters, three grandchildren, five brothers and five sisters.
While all of her male siblings are named after their father, Freeda’s middle name is also George.
Since her retirement from boxing, she had been an advocate for the sport and other issues, including criminal justice reform.
As People reported, George Foreman has not specifically addressed the reports but posted a tweet on Sunday about the “many wonders” sent from heaven.
Heaven send so many wonders; too many to have questions about any one thing or event in my life. Lippizana colt just born on the ranch pic.twitter.com/H3qxSOrdwN
