‘Mom’ drives 11-year-old daughter, dead from stab wounds, to hospital for ‘help’ before pulling a knife on medics

A Florida woman has been charged with murder after driving her dead daughter to a Orlando hospital before she allegedly pulled a knife on medical staff there.

The Orlando Sentinel reports that Rosa Alcides Rivera, 28, drove to the Winnie Palmer Hospital on Sunday with her 11-year-old daughter in the car. When hospital staff attempted to help the girl, Aleyda Rivera, they discovered that she was dead — and had multiple knife injuries on her body.

An Orlando police spokesperson told the newspaper that the suspect then “became combative and produced a knife.” She was arrested at the scene and is now facing first-degree murder charges.

Investigators are still working to determine the circumstances of the little girl’s death, and where the murder took place.

This is a developing story. CrimeOnline will provide further updates when more information is available,
