Bo Dukes has been sentenced for 25 years for the coverup of Tara Grinstead’s 2005 murder.
Fox 5 reports that Dukes, who was found guilty of multiple charges on Thursday, has been sentenced to 25 years in prison for concealing Grinstead’s death and burning her remains at his family’s pecan farm in Georgia.
Grinstead was a teacher and a former beauty queen who went missing in October 2005. It was 12 years before authorities arrested and charged Ryan Alexander Duke with her murder. As CrimeOnline previously reported, Dukes confessed to helping Duke conceal the body after he said Duke accidentally killed Grinstead during an attempted robbery.
At the sentencing on Friday, Dukes addressed the courtroom and Grinstead’s family, appearing remorseful.
“My actions were cowardly, callous, and cruel,” he said. “I pray for your forgiveness.”
