A man in a wheelchair reportedly lit himself on fire outside of the White House on Pennsylvania Avenue in Washington, D.C.
As reported by WKYT, the Secret Service announced the incident on Twitter on Friday afternoon.
UPDATE: A male subject operating an electronic wheelchair-type scooter lit his outer jacket on fire while sitting along Pennsylvania Ave. outside the North Fence Line. Uniformed Division Officers immediately responded, extinguished the fire and rendered first aid.

According to the Twitter statements, the unidentified man was “operating an electronic wheelchair-type scooter” when he set his clothing on fire. The man was taken to a hospital where is reportedly being treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
According to the New York Post, the White House remains on lockdown as authorities investigate the incident.
